On the eve of National Birthday of R.O.C. in 1981, the Dedication Ceremony of the ancestral temple was held simultaneously in Taipei with the Inaugural Meeting, with more than 500 overseas representatives and 800 domestic representatives getting together for the greatest event in the Lin’s history. Every representative expressed their wisdom and excitement in expanding mutual well-being of the Lin Family, the reunion reminds us that we are members of globe village, which the boundaries of geographical area have been broken, but the goals have remained steadfast. To date, we are recording our remarkable stories, and tomorrow, which shall be passed them on to generation, the influence is out of expectation in a three-day meeting.

一、Expand our organization worldwide.

We are a big family around the globe for more than 3,000 years. Ancestor Pi-Kan is the same origin of the Lin family.Outstanding Lin descendants contribute their wisdom and capabilities to our country over the past 3,000 years. In the beginning, our ancestor was guarding his own territory at the west side of the river in Honan province, and started to reside nationwide after moving to Fukien in Eastern Tsin. Nowadays, our descendants spread all over the world, and more and more outstanding and talent Lin descendants appear in the world with good reputation.
We recognize that lack of communication would bring us much regret. To unite power from all Lin’s Associations scattered the world is our urgent responsibility. At early day the proposal to set up a globe organization didn’t get the counterpart feedback from all Lin’s Associations all over the world, and in the preparatory period the power of the Association was too weak to make great program. Everything counted on Preparatory Committee and initiators. In recent years we have been working closely with the Lin’s Associations in America, Canada, Japan,Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines. One issue we’d like to focus on is to expand our network in other countries in near future. Our preliminary expectation is to ask for information offered by the Lin Family residing overseas of their own accord. All members shall concentrate all stand-up fighting on the World Lin’s Association for great achievement.

二、Set an example of loyalty and filial piety for the Lin Family.

Loyalty to the country and the principle of filial piety are treasures of the Lin Family, both of which are the philosophy of how to treat people and how to set an example to generations. Everyone shall follow out the spirit of these philosophies in our daily life and regard them as our responsibilities. As members of the Lin Family in good standing, we shall do everything in our power to perform the ethic of the Lin Family, to pass the example we set up on to generation, and to advance and enable people of all ages in globe village to understand and appreciate the Lin Family.
When members from all Lin’s Associations worldwide reunite together is filled with happiness and peace, and everyone feels sad when departure time is approaching. All members must have realize how many things can be accomplished through mutual assistance and cooperation. Everyone shall remember the declaration at the Inaugural Meeting and the Association mission, so that we carry out our missions with all powe.
